p1440 and NCVF Announce Strategic Partnership at National Championships to Expand Athlete Pathways

p1440 and the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) are proud to announce a new partnership debuting at the upcoming NCVF Indoor National Championships, designed to strengthen athlete development pathways and expand opportunities across all levels of the sport.

This collaboration brings together two organizations deeply committed to the growth of volleyball. NCVF has long provided a competitive and supportive pathway for athletes to continue playing at an elite level beyond high school, while p1440 has championed the sport’s development across all surfaces and stages of play.

Through this partnership, p1440 will support the operations of the NCVF’s beach volleyball championships later this year. Additionally, this partnership will highlight opportunities for crossover within the sport—including pathways between indoor and beach volleyball.

In turn, NCVF will support p1440’s mission to develop the next generation of elite junior volleyball players by promoting p1440’s training initiatives, including the Futures Tour and the newly launched Futures Tour Pro. This alignment reinforces a shared vision to create a more connected and comprehensive athlete pipeline.

“Both organizations are deeply invested in the long-term growth of volleyball,” said E. Ashley Dean-Gulbranson, CEO, p1440. “By working together, we can better serve athletes at every stage—providing access, education, and elite-level opportunities that extend well beyond traditional pathways.”

The partnership represents a meaningful step forward in unifying the volleyball ecosystem and ensuring athletes have the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed across disciplines.

About NCVF

The National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access and elevating the quality of collegiate club volleyball opportunities, continues to build on its legacy of growth and innovation.

What began as a 10-team tournament on a California campus in 1985 has evolved into the NCVF Indoor Championships—now the largest collegiate volleyball tournament in the world—featuring 648 teams and more than 7,500 student-athletes. These championships represent the culmination of a full season of competitions that includes over 1,100 teams competing across 15 conferences.

In 2024, the NCVF expanded into beach volleyball with the launch of its inaugural NCVF Beach Championships, marking a significant step in broadening opportunities for student-athletes nationwide.

2025 NCVF Beach Championships

The NCVF proudly hosted an incredible weekend of high-level collegiate club volleyball competition, bringing together programs from across the country for an unforgettable showcase of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With athletes traveling from 10 states and representing 12 universities, this year’s invitational highlighted both the growth of collegiate beach club volleyball and the strength of our national volleyball community.
